left toronto for niagara falls area. stopped at tourist town of 'niagara-on-the-lake' for overpriced lunch and a visit to the closed-for-the-season fort george.

niagara falls was swarming with tourists on easter saturday. not so accustomed to viewing natural wonders amidst such crowds.

took streetcars and subways to toronto's cabbagetown, an older part of the city which was supposedly an irish slum. hard to believe, looking at the houses there. also came across a necropolis, designed for the most efficient funerals possible. a cool little preserved farmstead next door. photo gallery.

followed by more interesting thingstoday we visited the ontario college of art & design. its recent addition consists of a box-on-stilts for the 5th and 6th floors, housing the graphic and industrial design departments:
the student work was impressive

we also went to the art gallery of ontario, 'MASSIVE CHANGE' exhibition. an interesting critique here
